3 Reasons To Look Good At The Office And The Bar

Every time I coach people about marketing themselves in their specific niche, I usually always emphasize the benefits of your looking your best always. There are so many reasons a professional should worry about the way they look whether you are at the office, or a night out.

The best part is you do not even need to sped a ton of money on nice suits like most peoplethink. For example, check out Gino Valentino and their collection of low priced clothing. Below are 3 reasons to dress to impress no matter where you go.

1) Dress professionally and clean will give people an impression of power. As a business man, this is what you want. You need people to trust you and rely on you. Why would somebody want to trust or take orders from somebody that looks like a slob?

2) You never know when you will meet your next investor. I constantly tell people this reason. You never know when you will run into somebody, spark a conversation, and leave with a new investor or someone interested in what you do. The bar is a perfect example. What do people usually do at bars? Talk! If you look unprofessional and like a bum, chances are less likely that
someone will come up and talk to you. However, if you have a nice sports coat and slacks on, or a suit, it is more likely someone will want to know more about you and come up and start a conversation.

3) Looking good gives you confidence. Trust me on this one! There is nothing that gives a professional more confidence then walking into a room and every one glances. Not because he is famous, but because he looks like a million bucks. Dressing for success gives you the confidence you need in the business world. When you KNOW you look great, you will perform great.
Next time you are about to throw on a ragged tee and some ripped jeans, think again. If you are looking for your next big investor or business partner, dress like it. You need people to trust you and feel as though they can rely on you.
